Article About EverQuest CharactersThe most important aspect for your role playing in a MMORPG game is the character. Everquest offers you a wide variety of everquest characters to choose from. This has to be an informed choice because the eq character you choose will be largely responsible for the style or the tactics you are going to adopt in the game. In short while choosing everquest characters we first choose the race, then gender and then we choose the class which is the most important aspect of a character.
Since there is a huge collection of everquest characters to know them better we group them by class. This classification is based on the functions they perform as the class. The everquest characters are broadly classified into Deities, Damage dealers, Tank classes, Casters, Crowd control and healers. Deities – These everquest characters are a part of the storyline that is shown to emphasis on the reasons for the battle. Damage Dealers – These everquest characters are able to hurt their enemy in an effective way. This ability is measure by DPS (damages per second) and damage dealers have got very high damages per second rate. The subclasses in damage dealers include Beast lord, Berserker, Monk, Ranger and Rogue. Tank Classes – These everquest characters have very high health. This is measured by health points. They are able to withstand the best of attacks and come out of it successfully. There are three subclasses in tank classes. They are the warrior (typical tank class), Shadow knight (durable tank class) and Paladin (virtuous counterpart of shadow knight). Casters – Casters must be used judiciously. They have very poor health and cannot wear heavy armours. They cast their spells by using an internal pool of mana. They are classified into Magician (Usually referred to as Mages), Necromancer (The masters of death) and Wizard (The primary nuking class). Crowd control - These everquest characters are adept at keeping the enemy at bay when an attack occurs. There are two divisions of crowd controllers. The enchanter – is not very strong physically but can control the enemies with his charisma and personality. Next are the bards who are jack of all trades and can coax the enemy with their abilities. Healers – These everquest characters posses the ability to heal the injured. They are broadly classified into Cleric – Considered to be the most powerful healer in the game, in the initial years cleric was the only class capable of resurrection. Next are Shamans, although not blesses with great healing powers the shamans are considered to be a utility class. The last are the Druids who are priests and have to ability to cast healing spells, teleport and snare. They also have an average nuking capability and can cast spells over animals and use them as pets. Each and every class has its own pros and cons. So it’s hard to say which one is better than the other. Still this classification based on classes of everquest characters helps us choose the characters better and can be of great aid during game play. |
